Really solid framing here. The shift from chasing volume to building a managable bench feels like something I wish I'd learned way earlier in my career. What stands out is how the "qualify first" mindset actually saves time instead of costing it, even tho it feels backwards at first because we're trained to think more prospects equals more oportunity.

Thank you for that. And yes. The reality is that qualifying prospects takes time. It takes time to dig deeply into websites to find out what funder priorities and restrictions are, and then what the funder is actually funding, which reveals how they've narrowed their interests down. It can seem like it's costing a lot, but boy, does this exercise save you time and frustration in the long run.
